Add dependants

Will your family be travelling with you to Manitoba? You can add your spouse or dependant(s) under age 18 to your plan by completing the form below and paying an additional fee.*

Common law couples are eligible.

Dependants must be under age 18 and enrolled within 30 days of the student’s coverage term start date, though their own coverage may begin later. A dependant’s coverage starts at the beginning of their first term (fall, winter, or summer) in Manitoba and continues until the end of the policy year.

Note that children born in Canada are not eligible.

If you've missed the enrolment period for your dependants and will be continuing your studies next term, you can enrol them at that time, up to 30 days following your term’s coverage start date. In the meantime, we strongly advise you purchase private medical insurance to make sure they are covered for medical services while in Manitoba.
